Our City adopted the Army’s 101st Airborne, 1st  Division, 320th Field Artillery Regiment along with the Cities of Lakeside Park, Taylor Mill and Villa Hills.  Residents Claire Moriconi and Lou Hartfiel, along with residents from the other three cities, are currently serving on the four city’s Adopt-A-Unit Committee. 

The Committee has organized various fund raising events.  Monies raised have been used to send care packages to the troops in their last 2 tours of Iraq.  In February 2009 a contingent of soldiers came to the City to express their appreciation for the City’s support. 

A Military Ball was held also in February 2009 with the monies raised in the four cities to welcome the Regiment home from their third tour in Iraq.  We will continue to hold fund raising events since the Regiment expects to return to Iraq or Afghanistan in Summer of 2010.
